Moving to Sweden - Office house

Saskia was born in July 2022. Goodbye Estonia and goodbye to the countryside near the sea - in August we moved to the middle of Sweden.

We moved to a detched house in Karlstad, but also we bought a really remote old house 30km's from the city, next to a mountain. We only knew the closest neigbour was 500 meters away.

So, hello to countryside Sweden!

After changing the old windows of the old house for the new ones I decided to put up a small 30m2 building on top of the granite hill. I told the crane driver to lift the house materials up on the hill. But he said no. Too far. So I took all the stones and wood and chimney bricks up the hill on my back. Exercise, lets start. Winter is coming and I will be the only one who will put this up.

Here is the view from the roof. I felt like an eagle.

And here is some interior done. The roof already holds water.

Working environment was relaxing in the autumn.

And after a while it suddently got completed a few weekends later.

You can see the lake through the trees which is 10km long and is located 50 meters below the terrace.

If you look out of the window, then you understand that building on a 30 degree slope was not an easy thing to do.

I took my drone out and saw this.

Then the snow came.

And then it was suddenly summer again. The house became to be used as office.

Outside - berries in 10 liter buckets, safe snakes, bears, lynxes, eagles at its best.

So, is it possible to put up a house in few weekends? Yes it is.
